Appearance for stills
Clothes, hair, and tattoos are for screenshots and Director-like scenes. They are not a GTA Online closet sync.
Swap outfits, try hair, stamp tattoos, take the shot, revert if you care about save cleanliness. Campaign missions that force a costume will still force a costume.
Light the scene with weather, place cones with objects, and capture with camera.
What wardrobe tools do not do
They do not sync an Online closet, do not unlock restricted multiplayer clothing, and do not write wardrobe slots back to a cloud character. If a mission script dresses the protagonist, finish or abandon the mission before you expect the overlay outfit to stick. For stills, freeze time of day first so you are not fighting the vanilla cycle while swapping jackets.
