Hotkeys that stay off WASD
The overlay is built so you can drive, tap a chord, then drive again. Defaults prefer the numpad and Insert so movement keys stay honest.

Laptops without a numpad
Insert is the documented laptop path. Do not enable mouse-keys as a workaround on day one; it fights camera look. Full note: laptop.
Controller chords
Gamepad users should keep camera look on the right stick. The overlay chord is additive, not a stolen face button. Details: controller.
If a capture tool or GeForce overlay ate Insert, rebind inside the modest tree before you assume the ZIP is broken. Then check troubleshooting.
